Be mindful to set aside time to pray for your husband’s spiritual growth. It is very important as the leader of the home, that he is receiving fresh instructions from God on a consistent basis. We often enter marriage at different spiritual levels. And while you may participate in “spiritual activities” together like praying and having bible study, spiritual growth is an individual pursuit. Each of you MUST know God for yourselves. And although it may seem that one may be more “spiritual” because of their activities, I have found that the true sign of spiritual growth is evident in hardship or when difficult situations arise. Being able to stand on the Word, monitor your confessions and believe God for a breakthrough is true manifestation of growth. Regardless of where your husband is in his spiritual walk, offer him more love, less judgment and cover him in prayer.

Think about areas in your marriage that can benefit from both of you being spiritually mature. Write out 3 faith statements to support your prayer.
