Moira wakes with a headache and extreme thirst at 7.00 AM. She'd slept badly, and had disturbing dreams about Steve all night. Guilt had shame have been stirred in her, and she suddenly feels like it was just yesterday she slept with him, as opposed to three years ago. And how the hell could Claire know about it? Was she psychic? Did she know Steve? Nausea, guilt, confusion, and anger swirl in her guts, and she suddenly feels the urge to sell the house, take Jacob out of school and away from all these rich privileged people and away somewhere. Maybe France or Costa Rica.

She's collecting him in a few hours and longs to do some yoga or go for a run to get herself ready for the day and ground herself after such an unsettling time with Claire. She walks quietly passed her sister's room on the way downstairs, assuming she'll be nursing a hangover for most of the day. She walks into the kitchen, admires the light flooding through from the garden, and almost jumps out of her skin when a voice greets her.

'This armchair makes a really good bed, you know!'

Becky, still in her clothes and make-up from the night before, peeks over the top of the large armchair and wriggles a few fingers in an attempted wave at Moira.

Moira sighs in an exasperated way, switches on the radio, and pushes the doors open into the garden.

'Just give me a sec. I genuinely thought I was hallucinating. I've had a shit night.'

'MoyMoy? Are you okay? Did I scare you that much? Why such a bad night?'

Becky stumbles in her direction and put her arms out for a hug. Moira turns away from her, so her sister hugs her from behind.

'My pretty sis. I'm sorry for scaring you. I got in really late and fell asleep down here.'

Moira is glad to have her sister close, and she leans into the embrace and pats Becky's hand with her own. It's an unusual move for Moira and Becky holds her tighter.

'Are you okay? I'm sorry if I scared you. Anything I can do?'

Moira's eyes fill with tears and she quickly wipes them, takes a breath, and moves away.

'It's okay. I'm just having a weird mental health situation, today. It's silly really because there's absolutely nothing wrong at all. Maybe my period is coming. How was your night? Please distract me with stories of your fun life.'

Becky looks at her sister and can see she's struggling.

'Yeah, my night was okay. I mean, I think I spent a week's wages on a tiny bit of sushi and a few mediocre cocktails… but a cute guy asked for my number… a friend of a friend… had a little snog… I've had worse nights to be fair!'

Moira smiles at her sister's antics. She's
