We left the funeral home with a suggestion and an address. After Robert asked the question, “Who could possibly know more about Kaneshia than Peter? Who knows more about a person than an intimate lover?”

Daviemack's guess was correct. We wanted to talk with Kaneshia's mother.

But I became concerned when we received the next bit of information. That information was an address Robert had written down for us. Perhaps I was doubtful because of the experience I'd had trying to locate Kaneshia in the first place. The unknown address that led me to an empty lot next to Angel's house. And one more address led to the next, and to the next, and so on and so forth until I found myself right here, wound up in the middle of this impossible predicament. Daviemack, on the other hand, was anxious to continue our journey to the address Robert had scribbled on a piece of funeral home stationery with his brother's chewed up pen.

“This will be quick. I hope. I have appointments later this evening,” I reminded Daviemack.

“No worries. I'll drive and do all of the talking. I promise. You won't be late for your appointments. Just relax.” Daviemack said as he unlocked his vehicle, we entered, traveled to a completely different section of the city.
