Who is using the presidential plane, since it is not the head of state?

What purpose does this aircraft serve, paid for and maintained by the Tunisian taxpayer?

Who controls the “reasonable” use of this facility, described by some as the “symbol of the state’s prestige”?

These were all questions that in a free country the media would be raring to investigate but, as Astrubal noted, “those are taboo questions in Tunisia, and we do not ask them.” He continued:

Apart from the troubling aspect of these destinations of the plane in question, as long as media silence lasts with regard to mentioning the presidential lifestyle, a presumption of guilt will be the norm … To mention only the case of the two photos of Friday February 9 and Sunday February 11, 2007, I simply point out that there is nothing, not a single word in the Tunisian media (except short-sightedness on my part) that could explain the presence of the Tunisian presidential plane in Geneva’s airport.
