It used to be just you and I but now we are family. I work hard for a living but it’s all worthwhile when I see you (and the girls) smile. The big problem today is that we live in a material world (here I go–is that a title or just part of a song). Our parents just don’t understand this sometimes. When they think of how they scrimped and saved to just get by and how we have a house, two cars, two T.V.’s, etc. To them it was just an impossible dream. It took them longer than it took us. You always tell me be not afraid, everything will work out. I guess you’re right–it usually does, but if you don’t know me by now, I sometimes have to worry. It might be because I am Woman.

I didn’t know where I was going to go from here, but I wrote the first part of this yesterday and typed my sister’s today. I can’t believe we were on the same Midnight train (of thought) to Georgia (I know I’m pushing it but!). I thought I was the only one who worried about where the money was going to come from. It makes me feel so good (that might be “brand new”–I’ve had this problem all my life–remember, Precious and Sue!). I told you I wasn’t good with titles. Well, let’s get back to life.

I can’t believe life goes on so fast. We’ll be singing Happy Birthday to Casey for the fourth time and to Dana for the first time in a few months. The beat goes on! Before you know it, we’ll be singing the wedding song and daddy’s little girl for our kids and then we’ll wish we were 18 again. It seems like only yesterday when we would celebrate when schools out for summer.

Well, I guess I cheated too because I did fill in as I went along. At least I finished it! It’s better than nothing. Just remember Dad, I love you just the way you are–even though you’re fat!
