What will be the outcome of my sibling's trial?

Astrological Factors Considered

In this chart Aquarius rises and it is Mercury hour. As Mercury rules the airy triplicity by night, the chart is radical and has indications of accuracy. As Aquarius rises, Saturn is the significator of the querent (person asking the question). Saturn is in detriment in the cadent 6th house and thus the querent is unable to do anything about the situation. The sibling is signified by Venus ruler of the 3rd . Venus is dignified by triplicity but in fall, in the 7th house. The prosecutor is signified by Mars, the ruler of the 9th house which is the 7th from the 3rd of the sibling. Mars is in detriment in the 8th house and combust. The judge is signified by Mars as well. The jury is signified by the Moon, who is peregrine and conjunct the 5th house.

Analysis

What is most striking about the chart is the extreme weakness of the prosecutor. Mars is the natural ruler of prosecutors and is thus appropriate. Mars is in detriment, in the sign of the sibling, a sign of capture, in the malefic 8th house and going from combustion. The sibling on the other hand, is in fall, but is dignified by triplicity, thus he is still afflicted, but much less than the government. Despite the fact that the judge favors the government, since Mars rules both the government and the judge, the government comes off much worse than the sibling. My sense is that the sibling does get convicted and imprisoned, but not of the major offenses charged and not imprisoned anywhere near what the government asks for. There are no Ptolemaic aspects between Venus, significator of the sibling and Mars, significator of the prosecutor which would signify a plea. There is, however, a contrantiscion, which is equivalent to a square, plus Venus, disposes Mars. Venus, the significator of the sibling, is in the sign, exaltation and term of Mercury, the ruler of the 8th , which is one of the houses associated with imprisonment. Lilly says that if there is a square, that the parties need "a little combat at law" before agreeing to settle, i.e. in a criminal case, a plea and that in this situation Mars, the prosecutor is going to want to make a deal. My suggestion is that the sibling either hold out for a better deal or go to trial. Either way he looks like he will do better than the government. He will not get off scot free and is likely to face some jail time, but nowhere near what the government wants.
