At six thirty, guided by her GPS service, she arrived at the cat breeders home. It was a small but very pleasant house in a tree lined street. She picked up her bag and approached the door. It opened before she arrived and a tiny Asian woman appeared.

“Ah Miss Lavelle, come to see to kitten, yes?”

“I have. I'm looking forward to it.”

She led her inside the immaculate house and into a small room beyond the kitchen.

“Here, kitten, see. Three girl lilac and two boy blue.”

“Ooohh...” Sabrina sank to her knees, peering inside the large cardboard box in delight. They were all beautiful blue eyed little cuties but one particular one caught her attention. She picked out a tiny lilac female which was curled up asleep in the corner. It's tiny, warm body fit in her palm and it touched her heart.

She fell in love instantly.

“Oh she's so sweet.”

“Yes, very lovely kitten. Tola Eclipse. My daughter name her. Thai name and stud name. All Eclipse in box here. Very good stud.”

“Tola Eclipse. So pretty. I want her. How much?”

“She top price, four fifty, very beautiful. Most lovely kitten ever.”

Sabrina doubted that was the case, but whatever, she was worth it.

“Okay. It's a deal. Can I take her home with me?”

“Of course. But you must do medical, pet insurance and...look, I have list, everything here.”

Sabrina took it from her.

“Thanks, this is most helpful.”

“And certificate of pedigree, here.” She extracted a sheet of paper from the drawer and passed it to Sabrina. “I write receipt. You pay, yes?”

Sabrina paid her the cash and in five minutes she was hers.

Tola Eclipse Ravelle, the tiny Siamese kitten was inside a special cat carrier cardboard box, still asleep, wrapped in a silky pink scarf, and on her way to the pet store for some expensive kitten provisions.

An hour later she arrived at her new home with everything a little cat needed to live the luxury life Sabrina intended her to. Food, treats, a bed, bowls, toys, the disgusting but apparently essential tick lotion, a brush, litter, shampoo, a cat carrier...

Sabrina put everything away, placed the cat bed next to her own and opened the box. The tiny cat was awake and staring upwards with her huge blue eyes.

What a little darling.

She took her out and carried her around, stroking her soft head and ears. She was shaking nervously in her hands but soon relaxed with a little bit of attention. She placed her down, on the floor and watched her run about, exploring her new and rather large home. She sighed contentedly. It made so much difference having another living creature in the house. Why hadn't she thought of this before?
