La Santa Muerte lay the young girl on the ground. She smoothed the hair off the girl’s face, making sure she touched the girl to gift her with a deep sleep. She didn’t need to be awake for all that was about to happen.

Tapping her feet to the music La Santa Muerte inhaled the scent of all the souls in the home. Most of them were young ones. Souls that had not had the opportunity to ripen.

Santa preferred her souls deep with personality that had been carved from many years of life. Young souls were often gritty and consumed for the filling but not the flavor.

Feeling that her timing was not quite right La Santa Muerte flowed to the front yard to watch the young souls play for a while. She wanted to add spice to this event and needed a moment or two to find Matea.

La Santa felt that it was time to start implanting bits and pieces of herself into Matea, to stretch Matea's body and make room for herself as if squeezing her feet into tight shoes.

Turning up the music at the party La Santa Muerte closed the holes she called eyes and raised her hands to channel Matea.

She quickly found that Matea was busy in a Pachanga of her own making.
