Chapter One

“D id you read the email I sent you?” Hannah asked in her business voice, the voice she always used when she wanted to sound professional.

“Yes, I told you I did. Don’t worry, I have everything prepared, and Vitoria is a nice person, she will excuse any fuck up that I do,” I said, going over the list of questions I had been practicing ever since I got to know that I will be interviewing Victoria Hamilton, one of the biggest actresses on the planet. Apart from being globally known, and being the youngest actress to win an Oscar, Victoria was also responsible for me wanting to be an entertainment journalist. She introduced me to movies, and from there on, I was enamored by her and her world, and from there began my fascination to dig deeper into the glitzy world of Beverly Hills, and Hollywood.

It had only been a year since I had joined ‘La Hollywood’, one of the biggest entertainment websites to exist, and after a meteoric rise from an intern to assistant to the chief editor, I found myself nervous and jittery, standing outside the conference room of Hilton, ready to go inside and interview Victoria Hamilton about her upcoming superhero movie, ‘Wonder Woman : The Rise of the Queen,’.

“How much time do we have with her?” Hannah asked an intern, who looked at a sheet of paper she had been nervously holding for the past half an hour and said, “about fifteen to twenty minutes.”

“Alright, Stella, make sure you do not ask any personal questions. Victoria is known to shut down reporters who have tried to wriggle out answers to questions which she clearly did not want to be asked.”

“Believe me, I was more pissed off with those reporters than perhaps Victoria herself. What she went through with her husband does not take away from the brilliant actress she is, and people asking her about the divorce just diminishes the work she is doing,” I said, and looked into the black eyes of my boss, and the chief editor of, ‘La Hollywood’. Hannah had been my mentor, my boss, and my occasional lover ever since I had joined the publication, and she was partly responsible for the rise I had experienced in the company, although I had also worked my ass off, almost getting arrested trying to interview Eminem, and again barely missing jail time as I attempted to sneak into the party that is held after the Oscars. But I would be lying if I said it was only my work out in the field that got me the promotion, it was also the work I did between her legs that went a long way in getting me where I was today. And I had enjoyed working both types of jobs, particularly the one where I got to sleep next to the model-like body of my chief editor.

Hannah Smith was tall, and not skinny tall, but tall in a way where all her curved were in the right places.
