That was the end of our texting session.

We had a meeting out in the country that afternoon to negotiate a new deal with some 'businessmen' interested in pretty heavy hardware. "We can get what you need," I said, "but it will take some time, and it will be expensive."

The men, dressed in suits, said little but they seemed to be in agreement with our terms. We shook hands. I told them we'd be in touch.

I actually enjoyed the ride back. The air was fresh and warm, with not much traffic. A convertible rode past with two young women in it. The guys went nuts, blowing kisses. My gaze stayed on the road.

I didn't notice the car drive up real close to me until the girl called out, "Hey, handsome, you got something big and hard for me between your legs beside that Harley?"

I glanced at her and sped up a bit. One of my members almost slid into me when that girl pulled up her tank top and flashed her tits at him. Jesus, she was asking for it. I motioned to my members to move on. They weren't happy, but they did as I told them.

As I turned the corner, I heard the girl yell. "I want the leader."

Yeah, everyone wanted me for something. At the clubhouse, the boys complained. "We could have had some fun. Why didn't we bring 'em back? That double D was hot for you, Sam!"

"Little rich girls," I said. "Get yourself in trouble. Stick to the whores at the brothel. Why don't you guys go on over and get laid," I suggested. I was waiting for a call, and I was anxious. I wanted some solitude.

They didn't complain.

When my phone rang and I saw that it was Marco, I clutched the phone. I waited for it to stop. It did, and I sighed with relief. He didn't leave a message.

I sat at the bar and made some idle talk with some of the regulars. My phone didn't ring. When two big guys with fedoras walked in, I thought I'd stepped into a 1940s black and white film. They looked like twins.

Not subtle. "Channing?" one said, noting my vest with President written on it, "Why don't you take a ride with us?"

I nodded.
