I had a feeling that Anna had more to say than what she actually had, but this wasn’t the time to press her.

The time to press her, frankly, was never, but the time to encourage her would have to wait until after our run. And when I woke up Monday morning in her bed—we had not had sex, we had simply felt too exhausted to do so—all of my mental focus went toward figuring out what to do with the Anarchists.

El Sorino was not a particularly large town, as besides the fast food joints, they only had about five stand-alone restaurants. We knew that we didn’t need to split the club up five ways to chase them; rather, we just needed to find the one on foot, send in the calvary, and finish the job. Landon, the one who looked the most like the civilian, got the task of driving a regular car into El Sorino and then communicating what was going on.

With the town only a couple dozen miles from our clubhouse, we didn’t have to set up shop up close to the strike. We were content to wait around as a group for Landon to give us the signal. I sat on the couch with Brock, silently strumming our fingers. We had on body armor and our rifles handy for a strike at a moment’s notice.

The plan was simple. Drive in as one, overwhelm the place, and either kill everyone or turn those who surrendered over to Sheriff Jones. The only exception to that was Vulture, who was to be held alive unless there was absolutely no choice—and he was to be held alive not for the sheriff, but for Landon and Brock. Those two had the sole right to kill Vulture if allowed.

My phone vibrated.

So did everyone else’s.

Landon had found the place.

“It’s at a place called Sushi Five. Just off Main Street. Intersection of 5th and Rudolph.”

That was all we needed to hear. About two dozen of us swarmed to our bikes, moving as one, the engines roaring to life almost simultaneously across the clubhouse. Brock led the way, with Parker just shortly behind him. I led the prospects and club members, with William and Zane flanking me.

Together, we moved like a military unit marching forward, except instead of marching, we rode weapons of death. We rode our vehicles of mass horsepower and symbolic strength, and our backs, we bore weapons of destruction. The Anarchists would have no idea what hit them, and when it was all said and done, I hoped that not a single one of them remained standing. I wanted Sheriff Jones to have an empty prison cell by the end of the night.

My mind did not wander as we moved toward El Sorino. Anna only crossed my mind just before I left the clubhouse, but otherwise, my words about the club being first took over my mind. I promised myself that when I returned, I would take her out, make love to her, and do all the things that loving, tender couples did.
