Karen,

I know you must be angry at me for the things that I have done, and the most recent one, by making you leave. I hated to drug you, but I also knew you’d never leave my side, if I hadn’t. I’m only doing what I thought was right, because I thought sending you away was my only option. I can’t have you getting hurt, because of the choices I have made.

There are things I need to tell you, and things that I need you to understand. This problem I have gotten myself in, it will not go away easily. Things are about to get worse, before they get better, and I need you to trust me. There are going to be things I have to do, and you are not going to like them. I can’t tell you what my plan is yet, or whether I’m coming back or not, because I refuse to give you false hope.

My main priority is to get Julian far away from Vincent, and then take him down. Which means, I need you to stop waiting for me to come back. I know your life has changed drastically, but you have your freedom back to do with whatever you wish. I need you to go on with your life, and not stop living, because I’m not around.

I also want you to know that I’m still fighting the darkness inside of me. It’s a lot harder without you by my side, but for you, I will continue to fight for as long as I can.

I don’t know what path lies ahead for me, and I have no idea how any of this will play out. Just know, you’re always on my mind, and there isn’t a moment that I’m not thinking of our time in Mexico.
