This house has just been built and the family that lived here used timber and simply let the build evolve in its own time. It’s located on a rocky, difficult-to-access slope, a place where most people wouldn’t consider building their homes, but this house is a great success!

Just below the bar, in an equally inhospitable spot, is the accompanying greenhouse. The two buildings work together to create a calm oasis for entertaining, dinners, parties, gardening, and relaxing. The buildings perfectly blend into the trees and cliffs with their black exterior.

The family has used Sweden’s oldest and most popular color: Falu red, which can also be bought in black. You can read more about this very unique Swedish paint on www.falurodfarg.com. The closest NCS code is S 8500-N. In front of the bar there is a large terrace surrounded by a simple fence. The façade facing the terrace has two wide doors that were built using old mullioned windows. Throwing the doors wide open creates a welcoming vibe and brings the outdoors inside.
