CHAPTER SEVEN

Charismatic Lord Ganesh

Nalini and Gautam along with their baggage arrived at Haridwar led by Gyaniji. They had found their place at Triveni Ashram. Nalini’s physical and mental energy had enhanced much which was combined with joyous approach. After having blessed by Akhand Maharaj, his ability to work has been increased like high tide. Now he did not think himself ageing. His limbs were now giving him confidences. He was striding along the sides of Gyaniji. Not only that, he often extended his hands to Gautam by carrying a few goods by himself. In winter, though Haridwar remained a cold place, yet that did not trouble much to Nalini. But this place is so different from others that pilgrims keep pouring in despite its coldness.

In the evening they reached Har ki Pauri to attend to the evening prayer of Mother Ganga which was a feast for the eyes. Nalini enjoyed with great pleasure in watching the evening prayer at Har ki Pauri. He found himself dumbstruck when he first saw it. He now considered Haridwar as his favourite city.

After staying at Haridwar for two days, they would now leave. It was Gyaniji who planned the nature of their traverse, though he did not say a word about that in advance. It seemed that he too did not know about their planning in advance. Truly he did not know where they would spend their night the day after. When suddenly he thought of something, he made a plan and then left for the destination. Before leaving, he called his disciples and informed them.

They boarded a bus for Chandigarh. All the three were sitting side by side. The bus was running between the lanes inside the city, though at a good speed. They could watch the river Ganga for some time and then it turned to a road which was in the plain.

Gyaniji had a disciple living in Chandigarh. In fact, it was not in Chandigarh, but at a place very close to the main city. While at Haridwar, he had decided to take abode for a couple of days in the house of his disciple Hansraj Arora, with his coterie. His house was at an hour’s distance from Chandigarh. It was Panchkula.

When they reached the house of Hansraj Arora at Panchkula after changing two buses in between, the dusk was setting in. Finding Gyaniji suddenly at their doorstep, the Arora family could not hide their emotions, and behaved in a frenzied manner. All the family members came out of the house and welcomed with utmost respect to their most sought after guest and his companions to their drawing room. People started prostrating at Gyaniji’s feet for taking his blessings. There were a lot of people at home.

Aroras were three brothers who were living in this house with their wives and children. Apart, the parents of Aroras were also living in this house. It was a massive house. It was known that this massive bungalow was constructed by Hansraj’s father. He was a bank employee, but had retired since.
