I was already older when a man came up to me one day in the lobby of a public place. I think of this picture often, I still see it in my mind, though I’ve never talked about it. Or maybe I did? Did I tell you about the cold metal in the flesh, the cut-lines in the ball sack, glowing red, glistening, now with night piss, now with salt water, grains of sand. Look, here I am, posing on a beach in a yellow bathing suit, waving.
