When we got to the house Mable was on the phone chatting away. An hour passed and she was still on the phone.

“Excuse me, but I want to use the phone too.”

“First come first served,” She said.

I snatched the phone away from her and hit the dial tone button. Mable had the look of rage on her face.

“Oh no you didn’t just snatch the phone away. Give it back.”

“No, I need to make a phone call,” I said as I dialed Suzanne’s number.

She was only 5’4” so she couldn’t get the phone back from me. Mother Roberts came in the kitchen and said, “What is all this commotion about.”
