The roundels are connected with colored lines to show relationships between locations and tribes. The twelve tribes are in circles connected with a blue line. There are four primary circles in the center of the diagram, which represent the four Levitic dynasties (clockwise from top: Kohathites, Gershonites, Merarites, Priests, with Moses and Aaron).
