The day passed uneventfully, and so did the next. Before we knew it, the gym had been open for seven days—a full week.

I locked the entrance after the day was over.

“We’ve been open for one week and have only had one accident,” Sophia said jokingly, clearly referring to Verra, who I hoped would be back tomorrow.

“I think that’s a cause for celebration.” Veronica placed her arm around Sophia’s shoulders, and the former did the same. Now they looked like two drunks trying to get home.

I was tempted to join in, but my height and weight would make the entire scene fifty times less cute. A hundred times hotter, though.

“Well, how do you want to celebrate?”

“I want to eat until I can’t eat anymore… then I want to eat more!” Veronica didn’t hesitate with her proposal, and I couldn’t help but agree. I was starving, and we all deserved a good meal.

Food healed the soul after all.

“Right, I want to eat so much meat and drink so much alcohol I’ll explode.” Sophia chimed in, and what she said surprised me.

“Alcohol? I didn’t take you for a drinker.”

“I drink occasionally.”

We had never celebrated much of anything, and I doubted she would drink anything in front of Morgana.

With that said, we rushed out of the academy and into the capital. Living in what was basically a city inside another city was something anyone could brag about. No wonder the academy needed funds. In retrospect, what the founder of the academy and the staff had built was nothing short of extraordinary.

The capital was much livelier than the campus, with people of all ages walking around. With the evening having just begun, plenty of businesses were open—namely, the restaurants and bars who expected a lot of customers.

Those getting off work, famished and thirsty, quickly installed themselves in seats or claimed their reservations. The smells of food and alcohol permeated the streets, and despite walking around with two beauties, few people gave me strange looks.

I wasn’t wearing my academy uniform, so that might be why. If I were wearing it, that would have been an entirely different story. The strange or curious looks I got while in uniform were annoying me.

Then again, wearing a sweaty t-shirt and shorts wasn’t the best idea either. My outfit wasn’t something most people saw often, unless they lived at the academy, I guessed. Speaking of which , I couldn’t help but notice some women wore more modest versions of the gym clothes Morgana designed with Trey and Fee.

Don’t tell me they’re selling them outside the academy too…

As we walked, I was having a hard time deciding where we could go to eat. All the restaurants looked great, and those that looked even better needed reservations. A bar was too crass, at least for the occasion, so our only option was the middle ground.

There were a lot of options around. In the end, Veronica pointed out a nice-looking restaurant, with a minimalistic design and a rustic feel.

We quickly sat down at an outdoor table, and the server brought us our menus.
