ENSURE DIVERSITY OF PARTICIPANTS

As mentioned in Chapter 8, you will get better results with greater diversity among participants, in the convergence stages of thinking as well as in the divergent stages. In addition to diversity in age, education and training, cultural background, experience, and work responsibilities, diversity in problem-solving styles is crucial.

Different styles bring different values and perspectives and ways of approaching problems, ideas, and solutions. This is important when generating ideas and when testing possible solution.
