.Name. This is not a legal document, so you want the name that you are commonly known by. If you were christened Catherine but are known as Cate, put Cate on your card.
.Business name. If itâs not clear what your business is from its name, then add a description. For instance, Jane & Smith Lawyers is clear, but Strategic Solutions is not. (I made this up, then googled and found there is a company with this nameâthey helpfully have a long âWhat we doâ section on their website.)
.What you do. You might know what you do (most of the time, anyway). But do others? What is your core business? Are you a consultant? Writer? Cafe owner? In retail? Make it clear on your card.
.Logo or photo. Your branding is important, so make sure you use this on your business card. Itâs not just about the graphic; ensure you follow through with the right colours and fonts. If you are in a service-based industry where you are your brand, a photo is a nice touch. For instance, if you are an MC, a marriage celebrant or even a real-estate agent, it can help to have your photo. It certainly makes it easier to remember you.

.Phone number. Just like including an email, you might think this is obvious, but itâs not. Some people worry about their privacy. Honestly, if you are worried about your privacy, why are you in business or going to a networking event? Make it easy for people to find you.
.Social media details. If you are on multiple platforms, it is tempting to list them all, but this makes your card look overwhelming. Consider instead something like, âFind me on Facebook & Instagramâ. If you are a prolific social media user, it might be enough to share your handle (e.g. @joyfulfrugalista).
There are also a few optional details you could include:
