We chose sketches, drawings, and paintings from our travels to decorate our home and bring back memories of times spent together in beautiful places. These pieces have become our personalized collection and conversation starters.

1Even if you haven’t traveled far from home, use this same idea for preserving special memories close to home. I have drawings I’ve bought from favorite cafés, old neighborhood movie theatres, and local sights.

2If you don’t have art representing a favorite place, search for art online to add to a collection.

3Print art you find online that is licensed for personal use, or you can purchase original art from sites such as eBay and Etsy.
