CHAPTER 12

I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE

ROMEO MITSUAKI

Romeo was almost killed, but Mitsuaki appeared on the spot and saved him.

"Come on, get up! We need to get out of here!" Mitsuaki said worried.

He carried Romeo out of the parking lot. Mitsuaki put on his DI-Eyes and by voice command asked Nami to arrange transportation and a reservation at a good hotel and as close as possible. In a few minutes a taxi arrived and they went to the hotel that Nami booked. The driver found it strange that Romeo was injured and with his clothes torn, but avoided commenting on the situation and left them in front of the hotel. It was starting to rain. An employee arrived to help them carry something, but when he saw Romeo that way, he had no reaction.

"Come on, my friend. Help me with him," Mitsuaki said, worried about helping Romeo.

"I think you should take him to a hospital," said the hotel clerk.

"You don’t have to. He is fine. Just help me up with him."

The clerk helped him, but with fear. The other hotel staff at the front desk stared at the scene in amazement. The hotel manager approached them.

"Need something?"

"NO!" Mitsuaki replied annoyed with the useless question.

The manager called another man to help them and they took the elevator. The manager talked to another man of the staff. They arrived on the 12th floor and entered room 1203. The employee put Romeo on the bed and stood at the doorway waiting as if they were waiting for something.

"You can go. Thank you!"

The employees stared at him and one of them said:

"Your Friend...?"

"Stay calm. He just drank too much and fell. He’ll be fine."

"Alright, sir. Excuse me, but I’ll need his ID for hotel registration. The reservation was only for you and..."

"OK! OK! Just a second!"

Mitsuaki opened Romeo’s backpack hoping to find some of his documents.

"Here it is! Make his record and bring us something to eat. What you need to cover the expenses can be charged to my card that is registered at the hotel. Thank you and see you later."

Mitsuaki slammed the door on the staff’s face and went to Romeo to check his injuries. Glancing over, he saw he had no bleeding and that his heartbeat was normal. Mitsuaki left him unconscious in bed recovering and started playing online. Room service arrived and brought a big meal. Mitsuaki was enjoying the American menu while he was watching a movie. It was almost 9:00 PM when Romeo woke up.

"What? Where am I?"

"Don’t worry. You’re safe. You went out for hours. I was beginning to think I wouldn’t wake up anymore and if that happened I’d leave you here and leave," Mitsuaki said laughing and mocking.

"What? Is that you! Where are we? ANSWER!"

"Calm down! We’re in a hotel, but we need to leave. It may not be safer here."

"Hotel? Hotel where? Why do we have to leave? What is going on?" asked Romeo, trying to get up.

Mitsuaki got up and talked to Romeo.

"Lie down and relax.
