One week later

Every time I’m around A’Riah she gives me a feeling of peace. This was the first woman I’ve dealt with that gave me that feeling which was how I knew she was the one. I want her to get to know me and replace the images in her head of me at the club that night.

“Your lip is healing.” My brother joked. He thought it was funny when I told him Garin and I got into a fight and that he threw the first punch. He just knew I would have killed him, but he should have known better. Garin was a huge part of the organization, without him a few members would probably be in prison. I couldn’t kill his ass even if I wanted to because it was a part of the rules. People on the lower level can be disposed of if they commit a crime against the organization. Anyone else, you have to send it up to Corey, who in turn communicates it to Gotti and he would make the final decision.

“Shut the fuck up, man.” I chuckled. “He got heart, I give him that.” We made a lot of money this week and just left the club to drop it off.

“We are going to have to start using your security company to help wash money. This shit is coming in faster than we can handle. We have to figure this out before we are questioned about it.”

“I agree, we have to find someone we trust to handle the accounting. I fired the last guy, he was moving funny. You know what happened after that.” Jaheem side-eyed me. The old accountant was no longer living.

“Too bad for him, but I may have someone, it may take a lot to get her to agree though.”

“Who?” We stopped in front of my truck. I looked off to the side and smiled.

“You’re sick, bro.” Jaheem chuckled when he realized who I was talking about. “Have you talked to her yet?”

I shook my head, “Nah, I’m going to call her though.”

“I can’t wait to see this shit. You know Oaklee likes her. She doesn’t know why the girl seemed off, but she thinks that A’Riah likes you. She said no matter what her mouth said, her eyes said something different.”

“That’s why I love, sis.”

Both of our Gotti phones went off. I assumed it was for a job, but instead it was a message from Corey.

I need all Lieutenants in Arizona next Sunday.
