Dry some for tea.

Use the leaves fresh as a swap for spinach. Nettle is full of good nutritional components like calcium, iron, chlorophyll, and vitamins A and C.

Come fall, collect those nettle seeds and sprinkle them on your oatmeal, on salads, or in muffins and breads for another great nutritional boost.

Fresh nettle boiled for 15 minutes, then cooled, strained, and combined with a splash of apple cider vinegar makes for a good hair conditioner.

NETTLE TEA GARDEN FERTILIZER

Feed your plants a buffet of nitrogen, potassium, iron, and more with nettle tea fertilizer. With your gloves on, head out and collect a bunch of nettles. Cut the leafy stalks into chunks and drop into a large bucket. Fill with enough water to cover the nettles by an inch or two. To keep the nettles submerged, place a rock or weight on top of them. Set the bucket aside, and in 1 month you’ll have garden gold ready to get your plants growing.

To use: Strain and then dilute the nettle tea with water in a 1:10 ratio.
