Ada woke to Dylan spooning her from behind. It had been a long time since she’d woken up next to a woman. It had been an even longer time since a woman had been wrapped around her like this. Ada had to think all the way back to her freshman year of college and her first relationship. Her girlfriend, if she could even call her that, was big on cuddling like this. Ada wasn’t back then. Today though, with Dylan pressed against her, lightly kissing her awake by applying pecks to her shoulder, Ada didn’t have a problem with cuddling this way.

“Good morning,” Ada said.

“It’s yoga day, right?” Dylan asked.

“What?” Ada turned to face her. “Not even a good morning?”

“Good morning,” Dylan said, kissing her on the lips. “And you’ll be staying in the apartment for your exercise stuff today, right?”

“Why? Are you ready to get rid of me and have the car return to watch the building? Don’t think I didn’t notice it was missing last night.” She smiled at her.

“I definitely don’t want to get rid of you, but I do need to go. I need to shower and get to the station for an interview.”

“Noah’s case?”

“Yes.”

“But you’re not going to tell me anything more than that, are you?” Ada asked.

“This is not how I planned on waking you up,” Dylan said, climbing on top of Ada as Ada laughed.

“I thought you had to go,” Ada said through her laughter.

“I do, but I’m thinking I’ll leave you something to remember me by,” Dylan said, sliding down Ada’s body. “I’ll shower here. I brought clothes.” Ada felt her lips on her skin without being able to see Dylan, with the blanket covering her. “I’ll be at the restaurant tonight. Are you closing?”

“No, why? Want another round in the back office?”

“Just want another round period,” Dylan said, slightly muffled as her lips met the skin just above Ada’s clit. “One now.” She kissed the spot again. “And more later.”
