Travellers slain in protest against the Corn laws.

There was an unhappy situation with much trouble on the village green in Ratby when three gipsies named Patricia Loveridge aged 40 and her two grandchildren Rawnie Love ridge aged 14 and Jal Loveridge aged 9 were knocked down and killed by a horse and cart resulting from riots caused by shots being fired above the crowd by parish constables so as to disperse the crowd in Ratby. Villagers took pity on the distressed and collection was made by the protestors for funeral costs. John Smith parish clerk was the last person to see some travellers pushing a hand cart with the bodies of the deceased. The question now needs to be asked. Where did the travellers go after leaving Ratby?

This cannot be possible, thought Alyssa. She had never seen the children and their granny but Liam had only a few days ago. Liam was also confused.
