The Giant did not believe Valiant. Then, he put

on his clothes and realized they were too big.

“You see,” said Valiant, “You are shrinking already.

When you shrink even more, and when the townspeople

get hold of you, you will be sorry you ever gave them

any trouble.” The Giant was so scared he ran far, far,

far, far away...and never came back.

When the King heard that Valiant had chased away the

Giant, he was so proud, he gave him a huge reward.

Now Valiant is not quite so busy, and his life is

very exciting.
