Benefits of Time Boxing
Sprints have a specific start and end dates. During a Sprint, the team is expected to work at a sustainable pace to meet the Sprint goal. Inside this time box, the team works only on the prioritized User Stories that form the Sprint Backlog for the current Sprint.
The specific start and end dates create an urgency for the team to complete the work on time. The team must complete the work at the end of a Sprint and demonstrate their progress to product stakeholders. The inspect and adapt activity at the end of each Sprint allows the stakeholders to review the progress and align on the remaining work.
