“I really need to talk to Brittany,” I said.

At that instant, my cell phone rang. I looked at the caller ID, it was her.

“Hello, Cam. Kailey told me about Diane. Have you learned anything yet?”

“We know Nicholas Rogers was behind Diane’s kidnapping. They were probably going to take her to his boat. Though we don’t know what boat that is.”

“Kailey has gone to meet with Nicholas Rogers as we speak. We’ll find out where the boat is.”

“Thanks,” I said.

“You don’t have to thank me. That’s my little girl, too.”

And she was before Malinda abandoned us and made us believe she was dead.

“Call me,” I said and hung up.
