Tack was taken into a room with Mr. Carmicle. It was an interrogation room and he smirked, really? Was this supposed to scare him? He had been in rooms like this many times and he always walked out free. The only time he had actually spent time in jail was overseas.

“Mr. Sutter,” the officer snapped rudely. “Can you explain what you and your friends were doing at the house we took into custody at?”

Mr. Carmicle said, “Officer, my client only came in with his friends because he was being cooperative, he could have just left as could have his friends, there was no basis for you to arrest them, they came here of their own free will. I suggest you change your tone a little.”

The officer glared at the lawyer and then looked at Tack and glared at him, fucking prick he thought. “I apologize, can you tell me why you were at the house in question?”

“Sure, like we told the officers on the scene, my sister and her friend bought the house from a man, and after the sale was finished, they didn’t get good vibes from him. He didn’t provide the keys to the house like he said he would. And until today when we called the county assessor, he had not even transferred the deed into their names. Once we got confirmation that the deed had been placed in my sister and her friend’s names we went to the house. We were going to break a window to get in since we didn’t have a key. But we noticed that there were wires attached to the windows. Upon further inspection, we found that the entire house was wired. We joked for a minute about what the hell the guy had been thinking, we kinda thought it was a joke. So, my friend had the idea to go down the chimney. We checked it out, it was not in use the fireplace was empty, it was not too far to the bottom, and it looked safe, so my sister and her friends decided to go down. When they got inside, they walked upstairs and smelled an awful smell, they didn’t go into the kitchen at first, they followed the smell, they found the bodies and ran to the back door to let us in. That is when they saw the bomb and freaked out. We came inside and saw the bomb and got out of the house onto the front porch and called the police, you showed up, we thought you guys were fast, and we found out a neighbor called the police.” Tack said smoothly. To anyone listening they would have thought that it really happened that way.

The officer frowned, “Why didn’t you call the police in the first place when you saw the wires on the window? Who is the original owner?”

“Because who would ever think that they were attached to a large amount of C-4? We thought the dude was being an asshole. His name is Billie Rae Thompkins,” Tack said.
