Conclusion

Sexuality education curricula specifically designed for students with IDDs and ASDs do exist; however, selection and implementation must be guided by individual student educational needs. Even the most effective curriculum must be modified to meet individual student needs/context. This will better prepare a person with IDD and ASD for living safely in the community.
