“Thank you for lunch,” she says when we get back to my office. “We should do it again, soon.”

Her smile is memorizing, but my eyes dart to the tiny speck of sauce that sits at the corner of her lips.

“You have a little sauce…” I don’t finish my words because her tongue meets my finger just as I touch the corner of her mouth.

Jesus Christ! What is this woman doing to me?

Our eyes meet, the desire to kiss her runs strong.

“Hi.”

I whip my head around to see Xavier standing behind me… with Tori.

Shit!

“You must be Maria,” Tori sidesteps around me. “I’m Tori. Jordon was just talking about you the other night,” She puts her hand out to Maria. “It’s nice to meet you.”

Before she can take her hand Tori moves it up to Maria’s face.

“Wow, your skin is beautiful. You should stop by Rosie’s Salon, I do facials. I’d love to give you one.”

“I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you.”

“Anyway, I just stopped by to bring my guy's lunch, but I guess it’s all yours Xavier.”

Tori hands him a small cooler and kisses his cheek before turning to me.

Her arms reach out to mine and pull me down until our faces our close. She kisses me on the corner of my mouth, the same spot Maria’s finger was. Tori’s lips linger for a few seconds before pulling away.

“See you later,” she says and turns to walk away, but not before looking at Maria again. “Hope to see you soon,” she tells her. “I work on Tuesday and Friday.”

To everyone else, it looks like a friendly gesture, but I can see the little green monster dancing in her eyes.
