SLAMMING MY CAR DOOR shut, I jog up to the house with a bag in my hand. Tonight is Halloween, and my whole life I’ve been taught this was an evil day; that it should never be celebrated. So every year, we pretend it’s not a thing.

When I get into the house, I head for the basement to find the guys. As I close the door behind me, making sure the lock clicks in place, I start down the stairs, but stop when I hear a lusty moan.
