Reagan slowly became aware of something rubbing against her arm. “Huh? What’s going on?” she mumbled. She opened her eyes and glanced around the room. The lights were dim but she could see enough to realize she wasn’t at home. She was covered with a blanket, something she didn’t remember doing. When she rolled onto her back, she felt the warmth from a hand that now rested on her chest. She looked up, and met Jill’s amused, brown eyes.

“Hey, you.”

“Hey, yourself. How long have I been out?”

Jill turned her wrist, looking at her watch. “A couple hours. It’s just after midnight.”

Reagan rubbed her face. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to fall asleep.”

“It’s okay. You were cute.”

“I doubt that. I should get out of your hair.” Reagan wanted to sit up but she decided against that once Jill started massaging a line between her breasts. The touch was soothing at first, but once Jill slipped her hand under her shirt and continued the same motions, Reagan’s body had a slightly different reaction. “Mmm. You keep doing that and I might not want to leave.”

Jill’s fingers grazed her nipple through her bra. “You don’t have to, you know?”

Reagan stilled her movements and sat up, dislodging Jill’s arm. “Don’t have to what?”

“You don’t have to leave.” Jill leaned in, stopping when her mouth was a breath away from Reagan’s lips. “Stay. Please.”

Reagan closed the distance for a gentle kiss. When she pulled back, she met Jill’s gaze and whispered, “Okay.”

Jill stood and held out her hand. “Come on. I’ll get you something to change into.”

Jill pulled her from the couch and they faced each other. “Or I don’t have to wear anything at all,” Reagan said into Jill’s ear before dropping a soft kiss right below it.

Jill swallowed. “I have no objections to that.”

“Didn’t think you would.” Reagan reached under Jill’s shirt, trailing her fingers along her sides. “Take me upstairs, Jill.”

“Gladly,” she replied, pulling Reagan up the stairs and into her bedroom. She stepped around the bed and turned on a lamp.

Reagan pressed against Jill’s back, wrapping her arms around her waist. She moved her hair out of the way and placed light kisses along her neck. Jill’s skin was warm beneath her lips and smelled faintly of vanilla and sandalwood.

Jill shivered, letting out a low moan as she tilted her head. “Please keep doing that.”

Reagan chuckled. “Maybe later. But first I need to see you,” she replied as she turned Jill around. She held her face in one hand, brushing her thumb along Jill’s bottom lip. “And kiss you.”

God, how she wanted to kiss her. But she also wanted to take her time and savor each moment. Reagan stopped right before their lips met, and Jill sucked in a breath. Her patience ran out and she crushed her lips against Jill’s, groaning at the hunger with which Jill kissed her back. As Jill wrapped her hands in her hair, Reagan undid the buttons of Jill’s shirt. She nibbled her bottom lip and kissed a line from her chin to the base of her throat.
