Using Color A and N-9.0mm hook, ch33, sl st to first chain to create a ring.

Round 1: Ch1, sc in first chain and around, sl st in first ch1 to join (32 sts).

Round 2: Ch1, loosely sl st in each stitch, sl st in first ch1 to join (32 sts).

Round 3: Ch1, sl st in each stitch in blo (see Notes), sl st in first ch1 to join (32 sts).

Rounds 4–5: Repeat Round 3.

Fasten off Color A, join Color B. Use H-5.0mm hook to complete hat.

Round 6: Ch3, dc in each stitch in blo, do not sl st to join.

Rounds 7–18: Working in the round, dc in each stitch through both loops. To finish, hdc in next stitch, sc in next stitch, sl st to next stitch.

Fasten off, leaving a long tail to weave the top together.

With H-5.0 hook, weave the tail in and out of every other stitch to gather the top. Pull the yarn tightly to cinch the top. Secure the ends.
