Action 2: Tell a Trusted Friend
If you have been hiding the fact that you are in debt, the second action you need to take is telling a trusted friend. Tell him or her not only that you have debt, but how much debt you have.
Please do not be surprised when your friend admits that he or she has as much debt as you do, or more debt.
Action 3: Call Your Creditors and Get a Lower Interest Rate
Interest rates do make a difference.
Take a look at the table that follows. You will see how much more and how much longer you will pay when your interest rates are higher.
