Those who have been prepping for TEOTWAWKI events for any length of time understand the importance of including weapons and ammo in a stockpile. If you don’t yet have any weapons, NOW is the time to change that.

Why Weapons are Important

Today if you hear a noise outside your home or sense some type of danger you can call 911 and be confident that help is on the way. This will not always be the case. After a crisis event, there is a very good chance that municipal services – including police – will not be available. In some cases, this may be a short-term issue. Following a TEOTWAWKI event, however, it could be years before such services return, if they ever return at all.

This means that you will be responsible for your own safety and security. Rest assured that others will have weapons. The only way that you will be able to protect yourself and your family is if you have weapons too.

If you have a well-stocked store of food, water and other goods, this will make you an especially good target for those who will be in search of items that they need. In order to prevent your stockpile from ending up the hands of someone else you will absolutely need weapons to protect everything you have worked so hard to store.

You will also need to keep rifles and shotguns that are appropriate for hunting.

Choosing Weapons

The more that you know about guns the better able you will be to choose the right guns for the right situations. A golfer knows that different clubs will work best for different shots. The same is true for guns. You will need to have an assortment of guns including handguns, rifles and shotguns.

For hunting, you will need to have guns that are appropriate for hunting both small and large game. For defense purposes, having different types of guns will allow you to protect yourself and your family in various situations.

Of course, it is not possible to teach the finer points of each type of weapon in this short guide. That is why it imperative that you learn about the best uses for each type of gun in each type of situation. You don’t necessarily need a stockpile of 100 guns, but you do need a stockpile that can handle any danger and hunting needs that you will face.

Another thing to consider is that as gun laws become stricter it will become more difficult – or impossible – to build the weapons stockpile that you need. That is another reason that TODAY is the day you need to start.

Don’t buy all of your guns at gun shops, gun shows and other places that will allow the guns to be traced back to you. As of this writing, it is still perfectly legal to buy a gun from a private owner without having to register that gun.
