CONTINUOUS MOVEMENT

What you did to get where you are currently is not permanent. Continued success requires movement. Success loves people who are moving and evolving and adapting and operating out of a sense of scarcity. I’m not saying to produce a crazy sense of fake scarcity where you’re always thinking, I’m going to starve tomorrow if I don’t improve. No, that’s not a healthy or productive mindset. Just understand that what you did yesterday to get you to today could be completely different tomorrow. You have to stay fresh. Understand that constant progress is required for constant success.

Success is constant threshold breaking and being uncomfortable. All the things you’re uncomfortable doing today may have produced significant results, but that doesn’t mean they will produce significant results tomorrow, a week from now, or anytime in the future. In ten years, you may look back and realize that what you’re doing right now isn’t even close to what you’re currently doing to produce results to get to a higher level.

Lack of innovation, change, and evolution will cause your progress to stop or even regress.

Always take every opportunity to keep momentum going forward. Recognize the momentum that you created and execute like a maniac, even if money is pouring into your bank account, even if you’re climbing your success ladder in ways you cannot even imagine—do not take anything for granted because momentum is the road to success. If you leverage it properly, it can carry you into the progress and success zone for decades, or even a lifetime

The right momentum can break through multiple thresholds in a short period of time. You will be able to feel it in your bones when things are happening and going in the right direction. The problem some people have is when there is momentum, they just sit still and let it take them for a while. Momentum can carry people a long way, but the word “momentum” includes the word “moment”—and the length of a moment can vary.

Believe me, the tidal wave will eventually crash. But if you made the right decisions and executed them when on top of the momentum, and really got uncomfortable and broke through thresholds, and recognized the signature moments of your life, you will continue to be propelled into a lifetime of success. It does go back to the old saying, “Strike while the iron is hot.” It doesn’t stay hot forever. What will you do when signature moments come your way?
