Evan King, his son, had the same characteristics as the father.

Evan was young and blond haired and handsome and Lacey had met him at a South Beach nightclub with her best friend and running partner Billie Ann Bowden, only a month ago.

She had liked the young man’s modesty when he described himself as a boat salesman to her, and yet when Billie Ann pursued the matter he had spoken of the sizes and qualities of the yachts he sold.

And now Lacey Manning was on a yacht owned by Evans father.

They were in the middle of the ocean and anchored outside of the Bahamas.

The thought of Evan further confused Lacey.

She had only gone with him to meet his father last night because Evan had been so desperate about a problem he did not confide in her about , a problem he had with his father, Alan King.

When Evan had said he had to make an appointment to see his own father in the evening at his own father’s house, Lacey had been mystified and curious.

Who had to make an appointment to see their own father, she had wondered?

Evan had made it clear to Lacey he wanted her to come along, and Lacey sensed it was just to have a beautiful person beside him to improve the young man’s own stature.

Lacey was not surprised by anyone wanting her in their company to make them look better.

It was her job to use her beauty and charms to make wealthy customers happy, and to make their complaints disappear.

That had started it all, apparently.

Alan King’s beautiful house on the gorgeous Intercoastal Waterway of Miami had been beautiful and impressive and obviously expensive.

The boat she was on now had not been anchored at his back dock behind the house and the pool and the landscaped grounds.

Maybe it was Jerry Anne Hayes who also triggered her journey without Lacey knowing it.

Jerry Anne Hayes had opened the door to them and her professionalism and personal beauty had stunned even Lacey Manning.

The woman’s salutation had been to say hello to Mr. King and guest.

A few steps into the beautiful foyer had added to Lacey’s impressions.

The entry’s hallway wall had been lined with framed pictures of huge and modern high-rises and condo hotels, the third picture of which Lacey had been shocked to realize was her own Paradise Towers, where she worked and lived and loved the life of being the co-manager of the guest relations department.

Alan King apparently had built the Paradise Towers and all the others that were shown under the glass pictures.

Her Paradise Towers facility was also her residence, as well as her place of employment, and Lacey Manning’s job was to cater to the wealthiest of the wealthy patrons who indulged themselves there.

Her friend Billie Bowden was her co-manager as well as her best friend, and Lacey thought of her right now as well.

She thought that it should be Billie who was here doing all these wild things this day, not she.

Billie was the free spirit of beauty who indulged in all the sexual adventures.
