“I changed my mind about the sex dungeon,” she says, squinting at me through sunburned eyelids as we trudge through the red desert that’s studded with twenty-foot cacti and hardy shrubs that are probably waiting for us to drop dead and decay so our bones can add some calcium to the soil. “Sex dungeons have air-conditioning, don’t they?”

“Mine sure as hell will,” I grunt, glancing at the shade up her shorts as she leans forward to climb a small hill. “You going to build a sex dungeon in Outlaw Town?” she asks, shooting me a sideways look as we get to the crest of the hill and stop for a breather.

“It’s all sex dungeons in Outlaw Town, Sugar. You’ll see.”

Sienna swallows hard, blinking and glancing towards the Southeast horizon. She’s sitting on a rock, and I stand beside her, arms folded over my bare chest like a gargoyle protecting the goddess. Her words still echo in my head, still swirl through my soul. She said I wasn’t a psycho. Nobody’s ever said that before.

“Just messing with you, Sugar,” I say, forcing myself to speak so I don’t have to think. “Outlaw Town’s a free-for-all where sex and violence lives out in the open. I’ll leave you at the border. There’s no real border patrol this far away from a city, but there’s a gas station where you can call for help. Just wait till I get across to Mexico first, OK?”

Sienna frowns up at me and lets out a fake sigh. “So you’re not going to keep me?”

I shift on my feet, my cock moving like an angry snake. “Reinforcements must have arrived at the scene. Cops and Marshalls must have found your rental car, found your stuff. Now they know you’re with me, and if they think I’ve kidnapped a nice American girl, they won’t stop looking for me. If I let you go, they won’t cross the border to come after me. I become the Mexican police’s problem, and that’s not a problem in Outlaw Town.”

Sienna nods. “Makes sense, I guess.” A shrug and she turns away. “I won’t take it personally.”
