Chapter Nine

Icouldn’t be too mad, because my head was filled with wonderful material as I imagined the three teens on their knees before me. Their tiny outfits falling away as I took each in turn. The guilt only swept in afterwards, but I sank into sleep moments later. I woke from the nap to the sound of knocking and howling wind outside.

“Noah, dinner’s almost ready,” my mom called through the door.

“I’m up,” I said, sitting up on the covers and rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

“Come down in your suit. We’re all going in the hot tub afterwards while dessert sets up. I made panna cotta!”

“Sounds good,” I said. My mind was muddled and groggy from the nap, but I remembered our earlier conversation and stood, pulling open the door to find her retreating down the hall. “And remember your promise to wear the bikini.”

“I don’t remember promising.” She turned with an amused smile, tugging her lips. “But if you insist… Oh dear… Noah… Oh my goodness you’re…”

“Shit!”

Shame flooded me as I realizing my dick had slipped through the pocket in my boxer briefs. I grabbed the swinging meat as I threw shut the door behind me and mom’s last word reached me just as it slammed.

“Beautiful.”

“Sorry!” I called through the door as I silently cursed myself.

“You have nothing to apologize for.” mom’s warm words reached me through the door, and I realized with a prickling of the hairs on my neck that she was just on the other side. “I’ll leave you alone now, but believe me when I say this honey, you have nothing to be ashamed about with me… ever.”

“Thanks,” I said lamely.

Her words did ease the tightness in my chest, but I didn’t breathe easy until she retreated down the hall. For years, I’d hidden my affliction, but this trip was bound and determined to thrust my shame before the women closest to me.

I found the girls setting the table as mom finished a sauce at the stovetop.

“There you are! Could you open the bottle I have chilling in the fridge?” Mom’s smile said nothing had changed between us, and the tightness in my chest relaxed even more.

“Sure,” I said, pulling out the bottle.

Sophia and her friends wore looks of frustration and when I frowned a question at my little sister she lifted her phone with an angry huff.

“The Wi-Fi’s still out and I haven’t been able to get it to reconnect.”

“Is the power still out, too?” I asked, beginning to grow concerned.

“You said the generator’s working fine, right?” Mom interjected, as she held out a glass for me to fill with champagne. When I nodded, she shrugged. “Then we can worry about it tomorrow. Tonight is about relaxing with good food, good company, and later a dip in the hot tub. Right?”

“But I haven’t checked my mentions all day, and if FashioNova or one of the big brands tagged me-.”

“You can deal with it tomorrow, can’t you?” Mom had that look on her face that said she wasn’t open to debate, and Sophia nodded with a sigh.
