After this stage the sauna should look like the image below.

Siding the sauna

The siding stage is where you are going to give your sauna its first skin. Since most of the job has been well catered for at the framing stages, this process should be very easy.

Items required

Western Red cedar boards with tongues and grooves (T&G)

Corrosion resistant nails or screws

Rubber mallet

Claw hammer

Tape measure

Pencil

Cordless drill

Crosscut saw

Steps involved

Cut the cedar boards into sizes taking into consideration the dimensions of the framing.

Cover the overall framing of the structure with cedar boards by interlocking them through the T&G

Fasten the cedar boards gently to the frames with your preferred method of fastening either by screwing for by nails. Make sure the tip of the nails used does not appear inside the sauna.
