On the second page, we see the sweep of visuals as Lau cuts from close-up to wide exterior shot to elegantly designed down shot and, finally, to another close-up, all with clear simplicity of movement. A body, a design element, architecture, dual circular designs, tall poles, and even a strategically placed costume design all guide the reader’s eyes to follow the storytelling in proper sequence.
