Jayme remembered the obstacle course at the Imperial training base on Merikon, so difficult when he was a teenager. It hadn't occurred to him back then to be grateful that he wasn't being followed by a custom-made assassin droid. He could hear its repulsors whining behind him, pictured it hovering above the ground floor, slipping between the rails, gliding along behind him. The thought made Ms back prickle, and his heart felt as though it might explode.
