Release pressure for crunchy texture

Snake gourd channa dal stew

Soak 2tbsp channa dal for 30 minutes in water. Blend 1/2C grated coconut with 1tbsp green chillies and 1/2tsp each (cumin seeds, salt, coconut oil).

In a 2L cooker, layer as below,

Layer 1: 1/4C water

Layer 2: 2C chopped snake gourd

Layer 3: Drained channa dal, 1/2tsp salt

Layer 4: In a small cup add ground coconut paste, 2tbsp water

Cook on high for 3 whistles (5 minutes). Release pressure, mix all, add 1tsp coconut oil tadka.

Replace/Supplement:

● Snake gourd with any preferred vegetable.

● Channa dal with any other dal.

Tips:

Let pressure settle for softer texture.
