How to Look for a Cause That Connects You to the Right Network

With the continual growth in innovations in today’s business world, networking is very relevant for any business to make a difference. Notwithstanding, we have to be careful not to overcomplicate the concept of networking to mean the exposure to a larger and powerful platform. Networking is more about the opportunities you stand to gain through a transaction. Earlier in this chapter, I shared my experience with a recreational facility we partnered with to generate new markets and clients. In my first approach to the creational facility, I did not look like the network they needed at that particular moment, given that they were already making great profit with their business and were happy working with partners they had. After I spent ten minutes with them, presenting what value they could add to what they had, it made sense to them. This connection resulted in a larger network for their business within the space of three years.

What I did was open them to new opportunities that in turn opened them to new opportunities to network. This implies that it requires more than a direct answer or opportunity to make the difference you need. It requires a careful analysis of your business growth, value, and desire from the lens of a development expert to see through the wall and identify the move that will actually make a difference in your life and your business.
