The next morning Siobhan was woken by their hands caressing her all over. They were still in the basement, or as Brian had called it, the playroom. That was how she would call it from then on. After they had bathed her last night, even though she was only slightly coherent during the event, Ray had carried her out to the large bed. He laid her in the middle, and then after gathering blankets from the armoire, climbed in next to her while Brian spooned up behind her. The contact of their bodies made her feel safe and warm as she fell asleep for the rest of the night.

After they made love, the three of them showered, the guys providing her with the luxuriousness of washing her hair and bathing, then ran up two flights of stairs to the master bedroom and dressed. When they finished they convened to the kitchen where Brian and Ray worked together to make breakfast. Whenever Siobhan tried to break in between them to help out, she was escorted over to the small round table that sat in front of the sliding glass door that led to the backyard.

The sun was shining brightly, giving Siobhan her first real glimpse of the last “room” of her new home. The stark yard was a testament that the house was still new as there wasn’t any grass visible where the snow had melted, nor were there any trees or bushes. It was a large yard that had so much potential. Back home, yards weren’t this big, and Siobhan lived in penthouses where outdoor space was nonexistent. She could see herself puttering around the yard, planting flowers, or the guys playing ball and perhaps kids playing out there in the future.

“What’s the smile for, darlin’?” Ray asked from the stove where he was stirring up scrambled eggs.

Not realizing she was wearing a smile, she looked up at him, her smile broadening. “I was just thinking about what could be done in the yard. I’ve never had one before.”

Both men’s faces dropped at her announcement and the sadness she saw in their eyes hurt, but she didn’t know why.

“You never got to play in the yard?” Brian asked, scooping up a small pile of bacon and placing it on a paper towel on a plate. “No swing set? No hide-and-seek with friends?”

Shaking her head, she felt self-conscious now. She didn’t want pity but when Ray moved the skillet to another burner and made his way over to her, she realized she had missed so much as a kid.

Both he and his brother knelt down before her. “Oh, sweetie,” Brian said, “I am so sorry you missed out on so much. I want you to do whatever you want to do with this house. Decorate it the way you want. I want you to be happy here. I want our children to be happy here.”

Whoa! Kids? They had mentioned babies the first time they were together, but sometimes men just said things like that.
