This happened in Brazil, Bolivia, and Uruguay and now in Chile. These military forces are bolstered by CIA operatives, under the guise of State Department and AID advisors. This is the Nixon doctrine applied in Latin America the same way Vietnamization was the Nixon doctrine in Southeast Asia.
