STEP 1: Basecoat your wall surface with SetCoat in Chamois and Brown. Let dry. Roll on a metallic gold finish using MetalGlow Eldo-rado Gold. Let dry.

STEP 2: Apply random patches of the gold leaf size with a 6-inch (15cm) roller or a brush, making the patches a little bigger than the size of the leaf itself. Let the size set up until it’s tacky to the touch. Gently apply the variegated gold leaf onto the size, alternating the different colors (above you can see variegated red on the left, variegated green on the right, and solid gold at the top). Using a soft cotton rag, wipe over the leaf to secure it to the size. Apply a thin coat of the gold leaf sealer to the leaf only. Let dry.
