Guidance from Higher Intelligence

We don’t knock down doors. If it opens, OK. If not, look for another door.

—J OSÉ SILVA

At some point you have probably wondered:

Why am I here? Does my life have some meaning, some purpose?

When José Silva meditated on that question, the answer that came to him is that we were sent here to correct problems, to complete the creation of the planet, and convert the planet into a paradise.

He always tested the ideas and theories that came to him by asking if they are practical: can they be used to solve problems in the real world?

The idea that we should try to solve as many problems as possible is very practical: the more problems we can work on, the better we get at solving problems—including our own.

That is not the only reason that we should try to solve problems. We are all part of something much greater than just our individual selves.

The Sum Is Greater than the Parts

Humanity is like a team; life is like team support. Some individuals have more talent than others, and some get more recognition and rewards than others, but ultimately, we all win or lose together as a team.

It doesn’t stop there.

As his thinking continued to evolved, Mr. Silva began to realize that we are more than a part of humanity. He realized that humanity itself is part of something far greater:

We are a vital part of hierarchy of intelligences that he refers to as higher intelligence. Higher intelligence is his term for what some people call God, or Allah, or the Almighty, or Jehovah, or some other name.

We All Have a Part to Play

“If we use common sense,” Mr. Silva said, “it does not make sense that only one entity should take care of the whole universe, because if so, then why did this one entity, the entity that some people call God, need us to do something on planet earth?

“If God could have done it by himself, then we would not be needed.

“We were created by a power known as God to take care of the needs of the planet, because God is busy doing other things.”

He compared the hierarchy of intelligences that he calls higher intelligence to the systems that we set up on planet earth to take care of business.

When you want to buy a new car, for instance, you don’t go to the president of General Motors. You go to your local dealership. If you have a problem with your new car, you take it to the dealership and they assign a mechanic to fix the problem. If they cannot fix the problem, then they go higher up to find someone who can. When it is repaired, you say, “General Motors took care of my problem.”

We organize government the same way.

If a streetlight on your street burns out, you don’t need to call the mayor to fix it; you call the public works department. Then you say, “The city replaced my street light.”
